skills required:
3+ years of production support experience.
This is a global support position, so must be able to demonstrate past regional business systems support and management .
Good knowledge of the linux kernel and kernel modules
Good knowledge of linux channel bonding, logical volume manager (lvm), rpm .
Understanding of symantec backup and recovery products a plus .
Understanding of it security and its importance .
Excellent understanding of the principles of system and service consolidation strategies.
Proven track record of delivering and maintaining global standard solutions within the region.
Able to influence at a high level especially when making a case for adoption of global standards rather than local cost driven compromise.

Delivery of new systems in the region following direction from the business technologies manager and or global technologies team.
Knowledge of data centres and there operation is desirable
Rhce certification is a plus.
Experience with redhat clusters is a plus.
Experience in working with oracle rac from an sa standpoint is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

This Advanced Web Developer position will be a development team that is enhancing the feature set on the Kaiser intranet, J2EE based applications.

Responsible for designing, developing and unit test components in a highly iterative and agile manner. Responsible for Design and Development of J2EE components, SQL, Stored Procedures, servlets, JSPs and deploying the same to Websphere, Tomcat application server environments.
