Skills & Qualifications:
1. At least 5 years' experience in SQL server programming.
2. Strong T-SQL skills.  Hands on experience with backend programming with SSIS packages, reporting using SSRS and Stored procedures.  SSAS knowledge is a plus
3. Strong Problem solving skills.  Ability to read and debug code and troubleshoot issues.
4. Experience in use of MS Office tools using VBA for automation of reports and business processes.
5. Experience with C#.net  and vb.net is preferable
6. Leadership skills
7. Good communication and writing skills
8. Should have at least a bachelor's degree.
9. Able to investigate, determine root cause and solve moderate to complex data or code issues with minimal guidance using appropriate toolset
10. Strong SQL experience and well versed in SQL concepts such as triggers, indexes, and stored procedures
11. Ability to prioritize production issues and resolve issues in a timely manner with respect to the severity of the issue
12. Ability to build and maintain tools used to automate daily system monitoring processes
13. Ability to be able to read and interpret existing .net code and debug for issues
14. Ability to follow logical process flows to investigate and pinpoint data or process issues
15. Ability to be able to isolate an issue and then propose and implement potential code fixes to resolve the issue

Responsibilities:
• Performs all Oracle Database Administration related activities for major projects independently with minimal supervision.

• Participates in on-call, overnight off-hour production problem resolution activities.
• Develops and maintains DBMS related standards and procedures, knows where they are located, and makes full use of them. Follows client's software development processes.
• Researches, evaluates, and tests new software and DBMS related tools and facilities as they pertain to the existing DBMS environment, database designs, procedures, and applications.
• Monitors current DBMS performance and develops procedures, where necessary, to improve the DBMS environment as required.
• Identifies and supports quality improvement initiatives.
• Performs other assignments to comply with the SR&T corporate purpose and mission to add business value, increase revenue, decrease costs, improve productivity, and support the strategic initiative/directive.
• Complies with all client security and audit standards. Ensures security of company information by ensuring database is secure and monitors environment to identify improper access.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
 • 10-12 years of experience, with at least the last 5-7 years as Lead Oracle DBA on all aspects of Oracle Database Administration in a large/challenging database environment on Unix / Linux platform.
• Experience supporting internet/web based database applications with heavy concurrent user volume.
• Experience working on 10g/11g RAC database applications, Oracle TDE, OEM Grid control, RMAN.
• Working knowledge of MSSQL Server databases is a Plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good UNIX Sun Solaris, Linux knowledge and scripting is a plus.
• Skilled in SQL statement tuning with detailed understating of AWR and StatsPack reports, database performance tuning.
• Basic understanding of Connection pooling and middleware software like JBoss, JRun, Tom Cat, and IBM Web sphere is desired.
• Hands on experience of implementing Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g database on UNIX and Linux platform is a must.
• Willingness to work on-call DBA rotations in a 7x24 environment
