Enterprise Systems Management Engineer / BMC Remedy
Location: phoenix, AZ
Duration: 6months+
Employment Standards:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, and Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline. Five years general experience of which at least three years must be specialized experience is required. If candidate has ten year's general experience, of which at least seven years is specialized, a degree is not required. Extensive experience with maintaining Networks, Servers, Web technology and IT Service Management is required. ITIL certification is strongly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
· Proven ability to build, architect, and implement an Enterprise System Management solution.
· Hands on technical knowledge of ESM solutions such as BMC product suites, IBM Tivoli, or HP.
· Considerable knowledge of hardware, software, telecommunications, operating systems, and applications for micro, mini and midrange computers.
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executive team, managers, peers, and customers
· Knowledge of MS SQL Reporting Services or other reporting tools and a thorough understanding of relational databases
· Experience with ITIL best practices
· Technical savvy and knowledge of a variety of systems and environments (software and hardware) including enterprise applications, server platforms, data and voice networks, infrastructure, and operations support processes for those systems
· Ability to analyze problems and select corrective action
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and technical procedures
· Ability to write reports, executive summaries, and routine business correspondence
· Experience with process design and the definition and documentation of business requirements and system specifications
· Ability to design and create workflow models
· Expert PC proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Windows, and MS Project
· Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required.
· Ability to work independently and to maintain effective working relationships with multiple areas and staff levels
Must have experience implementing and managing:
· BMC Proactive Net Performance Management Console (BPPM) 8.5
· BMC Event Management (BEM) 7.4
· BMC Service Impact Manager (SIM) 7.4
· BMC Transaction Management, Application Response Time (TMART) 3.9
· BMC Atrium Orchestrator (BAO) 7.6
· Integration for BMC Remedy Service Desk (IBSRD)
Must be proficient with
· Defining and managing event classes using Basic Recorder of Objects in C (BAROC) language
· Must have the ability to write rules files in MasterCell Rules Language (MRL) in a multi-cell environment.
· Must have the ability manage and support event propagation rules
