PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø
Work with the development team to come up with and execute on plans that support the needs of our growing customer base.
Ø
Manage and develop API while integrating with 3rd party APIs (Twitter, Facebook etc).
Ø
Be a technical advisor to the strategic direction of the company by having a preoccupation with industry trends and technologies while having the wherewithal to know when early tech/trends are too risky.
Ø
Responsible for the development of an analytics platform to help ensure we are staying on top of our core business metrics.
Ø
Constantly strive to improve the quality and efficiency of our product, code base and development process by having an obsession with performance.
Ø
Personally responsible for production-level code and willingness to address issues.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Ø
Minimum 3-4 years exposure and understanding of latest service based backend web technologies (one or more): NodeJS, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, etc…
Ø
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in designing and implementing RESTful web services using JSON.
Ø
Over 5 years hands on experience in implementing highly scalable service based backend platforms.
Ø
Over 5 years hands on experience with Agile (Scrum) and test driven development, continuous integration (Jenkins/Hudson) and version control (SVN, GIT etc…).
Ø
Responsible for the hands-on development using the latest backend social media technologies leveraged by Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn including NodeJS, MongoDB & Redis.
Ø
Design and implement RESTful web services using JSON.
Ø
Scale the message/asynchronous processing framework developed on RabbitMQ
