Job title: Java Lead /Architect

Position Description:
Lead Java Developer and Architect
Responsibilities include all or some of the following:
Play the role of lead Java developer and architect, while providing
technical leadership for the project team, write code based on user stories
in short development sprints, evolve requirements from user stories leading
into iterative design, code and refactor software enhancements, develop and
execute automated unit test cases, develop and execute system test plans,
enable user acceptance testing and project warranty support.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelors in Computer Science or other related disciplines.
5+ years experience as a developer with Java, Hibernate, Spring Framework &
JUnit.
Experience with Mule, Maven, SubVersion, Log4j, MySQL, Oracle 10g/11g SQL,
PLSQL is highly preferably.

Key Technical Skill Requirements:
Strong Java, Hibernate, Spring Framework & JUnit skills a must.
Good Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming skills and the ability to
improve/tune complex SQL.
Proficiency with SubVersion or other source code control tools
Ability to create and execute automated unit tests cases
Good understanding of the Agile software development methodology
Ability to interact with a fast paced technical team and business unit
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to translate high level requirements (user stories) or designs into
detailed program designs in multiple iterations
Ability to adequately document test cases, results and other reference
material.

Key Soft Skill Requirements:
Provide technical leadership and product design guidance to the project
team.
Behaviors that enable working in a co-located Agile development team are
highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills - especially to give and receive feedback in
an agile environment
Must have strong desire to support end customers and provide excellent
customer service
Prior knowledge and exposure to electric utilities and retail operations
domains are desirable but not required.
Prior experience with Agile projects with hands on SCRUM experience is
highly desirable.
