Role: SAP Basis Admin
Rate : $65/hr
Description of Skills and Responsibilities:
· SAP Skills
· General SAP Administration
· Administration of SAP NetWeaver Systems (Netweaver 2004 or 2004s and 7.XX)
· One or more of the following SAP components:
o EP Core (EPC)
o Enterprise Portal (EP)
o Business Intelligence (BI)
o Mobile Infrastructure (MI)
o Process Integration (PI) or Exchange XI
o Development Infrastructure (DI)
o Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
o Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
o Enterprise Core Component with HR (ECC)
o Administration of Standalone Engines
o Administration of Client Programs
o Administration of SAP NetWeaver IT Scenarios
o Knowledge of 3rd party product integration with SAP
· Knowledge of the following non-SAP skillsets:
o HACMP technologies and concepts
o Backup and restore technologies
o Disaster Recovery technologies and concepts
o Network technologies and concepts
o Unix knowledge (AIX preferred)
o Relational Database knowledge and concepts (DB2 and MSSQL preferred)
Description of Tasks & Deliverables:
· Vendor personnel will perform the following Services under the general direction of the client.
· Assist design sessions within area of specialization
· Install and upgrade SAP applications
· Facilitate and drive resolution to integrated solutions across work streams
· Able to research and comprehend new SAP products as well as 3rd party applications
· Able to take ownership and be accountable of processes or applications
· Resolve complex business issues through hands-on technical solutions
· Resolve complex issues through self-research, peer groups networks, or discussion forums
· Propose, evaluate and select alternate solutions to complex business problems
· Plan, manage, and execute deliverables and timelines within work stream
· Represent area of sub expertise in integration sessions and business forums with limited supervision.
· Make and communicate decisions made within these sessions
· Own and ensure adherence of team members to systems implementation methodology
· Participate in relevant technology forums
· Competent in Unix scripting
· Keep up with latest technology trends and innovations around SAP architecture/technologies and other infrastructure technologies
· Mentor junior team members, including Systems Administrators
· Perform 24x7 on call duties
· Recognized as a go to person for one or more key technical competencies within the team.
· Effectively work with the end users and provide good customer support
· Generally works without consulting their manager.
· Independent decisions are made daily.
· Examples of typical decisions without manager consultation:
o Ability to take action without direct consultation for routine/advanced problems that arise in everyday work.
o Escalate incidents that can’t be resolved and that potentially affect availability or reliability of systems and applications or affects SLAs
· Typically 5 or more years of IT administration experience.
· Demonstrate proficiency for core IT Administration functions and possesses in depth knowledge and expertise/knowledge across several IT.
