4 years of experience developing software systems with broad coverage of the software development life-cycle
• 4 years of experience as a developer in an Object Oriented environment
• 4 years of programming web applications with Java, specifically with servlets and JSP
• 1 year of experience with authoring XSL transformations
• Knowledge of RDBMS concepts, including JDBC
• Experience with agile software development methods such as SCRUM or other modern development methodologies
• Experience designing multi-level architectures
• Experience with source control systems such as Git, Subversion, CVS
• Ability to take initiative with projects and act independently as needed
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet multiple project deadlines
• Proven track record of on time/on budget delivery
• Must be detail oriented and demonstrate a strong customer service focus
• Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work with innovative solutions
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills
• Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
Recommended Skills and Experience:
• 6 years of experience developing software systems with broad coverage of the software development life-cycle
• Experience with publishing systems or online delivery systems are highly desirable.
• Experience with open source packages such as Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, and Eclipse
• Experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse IDEs
• Experience with Tomcat, WebSphere, Apache and Resin application servers
• Experience with Perl and other scripting languages
• Experience with web services and service oriented architectures
• Experience using UNIX generally, Solaris and Linux in particular
