Job Description:

Skills required: Mainframe Systems Programmer with z/OS and VM skills.

Request 1) Create SNA and TCP/IP NJE

connections between test systems. This would include configuring BDT on the JES3

systems. This would be done between a single set of JES3 <-> JES2, JES2 <-> JES2,

JES3 <-> JES3 for the numerous 1.9 through 1.13 test systems at Tone Software. This

effort is estimated at 60 hours, and Request 2) Provide assistance to installing z/OS

1.13 GA on the Tone Software z9. This has been shipped as a ServerPac on

DVD's to the Tone Software site. The contents of the DVD have been loaded

to a z/OS HFS file system, and are attached to the ETP system Z1CJ2A. The

volumes needed for this have been allocated and initialized. Mainline will

provide a consultant to assist in this effort. Minimal customization will be

performed. No ISV products and IBM subsystems such as CICS or DB2 are

included in this engagement. This is not an upgrade from one release to

another, but a simple install of another level of zOS. Tasks for this are - Set

up layout for zOS 1.13 onto the volumes provided, Customize JES2 and JES3

to match Tone Software existing configurations, Customize IBM products

minimally to come up as required by Tone Software, Modify linklst as required

for Tone Software products. Assumptions for this task are - Sufficient DASD is

available and Network IP addresses will be available. This request is

estimated at 80 hours. Products included in the zOS 1.13 ServerPac are:
