Job Responsibilities:
This Advanced Web Developer position will be a development team that is enhancing the feature set on the Kaiser intranet, J2EE based applications.
Responsible for designing, developing and unit test components in a highly iterative and agile manner. Responsible for Design and Development of J2EE components, SQL, Stored Procedures, servlets, JSPs and deploying the same to Websphere, Tomcat application server environments. Ability to create Javascript, Rich UI, CSS, Themes, Personalization and SSO integration. Responsible for writing Data access components using Spring 3.0, Hibernate and MVC framework. (as well as plain Java/JDBC and POJO's).
Ability to quickly learn and come up to speed in a new environment and follow standards. Aside from solid web development skills, the candidate filling this position must have experience with JUnit, Integration testing and performance tuning.
Proactively identifying issues in the development and bring up the same to the attention of tech lead or management attention at the very early stages. Ability to learn from team mates and solving issues quickly with the help of more knowledgeable team mates in that technology
Education: A computer science college degree or equivalent experience.
Required Skills:
Strong Java web development skills and excellent understanding of object-oriented analysis / design / programming. (6 to 8 years)
Deep understanding of web application design / web security (4 to 6 years)
Good understanding of Model View Controller (MVC) distributed architectures. (5 years)
Experience with Spring / Hibernate, especially Spring 3.0 (4 years)
Experience with Eclipse or myEclipse (5 years)
Experience with Oracle SQL, Stored Procedure, PL/SQL (5 years)
JUNIT, JQuery, SVN, Sencha, Ext JS4 (3 years)
Experience with Javascript , html, XML and CSS in for web application development. (5 years)
OO Analysis and Design experience. (5 years)
Experience with the scrum agile development methodology. (5 years)
Must have good communication skills both verbally and in written form and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as a member of a team.
