   Job Title : Teradata Developer.

   Location : Cupertino, CA.

   Duration : 4- 6 Month

   Education: Graduate/ Post-Graduate

 

   Relevant Experience (Yrs):

·         Atleast 5 years experience in Datawarehousing/BI with hands on expertise in Teradata

 

   Desired Skills

•    Extensive experience in Teradata stored procedures.
•   DWH experience

 

         Necessary Skills:-

 

·         Critical thinking and excellent verbal and written communication skills


 

·         Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities


 

·         Strong experience in designing and developing large scale and optimized Data Warehouses using Teradata, Oracle and Informatica


 

·         In-depth hands on experience in database, ETL/ELT design and development and should have excellent data analysis skills

 

·         In-depth hands on experience in developing reporting and dashboard solutions on DW platform using multiple UI and reporting tools


 

·         Experience in deploying solutions using version control systems like Subversion or CVS
- Metadata Management, Enterprise data security architecture and Data Warehouse best practices
- Project management using SDLC

 

·         Minimum of 5+ years strong NCR Teradata and SQL, UNIX, Data Warehouse Modeling, Teradata Utilities, Aggregates and building efficient views; other SQL and UNIX experience plus Teradata certification may be substituted for years of Teradata experience.

 

·         Certification in Teradata and Teradata SQL preferred.

 

·         Use Teradata utilities fastload, multiload, tpump to load data.

 

·         Write BTEQ scripts to transform data.

 

·         Write Fastexport scripts to export data.

 

·         Write, test and implement Teradata Fastload, Multiload and Bteq scripts, DML and DDL.

 

·         Construct Korn shell driver routines (write, test and implement UNIX scripts).

 

·         Write views based on user and/or reporting requirements.

 

·         Gather system design requirements, design and write system specifications.

 

·         SQL proficient.
