Title: Senior Linux System Administrator
Location: San Jose,CA
Duration: 6+Months
Rate: $60/hr

Description:

-     Manage Linux servers for 24x7 global R&D data center servicing 1000+ user development community designing and developing software, firmware, hardware and ASIC for high capacity routers and associated management systems
-     This will include installation patching, troubleshooting, performance tuning and security
-     Contribute to the evolving design and architecture of reliable and scalable infrastructure
-     Ensure proper monitoring alerting capacity planning and reporting in the production environment
-     Develop processes tools and documentation in support of product operations
-     Evaluate new software, hardware and infrastructure solutions
-     Participate in on-call rotation and be willing to jump on escalated issues as needed
-     Train and mentor junior staff to improve their ability to support the environment


Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Key skills: Linux/Unix system admin, Netapp storage, Vmware, system management, system configuration automation, IP Networking
• Hard worker
• Eligible to work in the US
• Fluent in English
• Excellent communication skills
