Automation Tester with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 testing tools at IL - INPERSON INTERVIEW IS REQUIRED

INPERSON INTERVIEW IS REQUIRED SO ONLY LOCALS FOR THIS POSITION

I have a 3-6 Month contract located in Libertyville.  Looking for an Automation Tester.  Requirements for this position are attached.  The primary skill that we are looking for is experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 testing tools.  This position should move quickly - they will do a phone or Inperson interview initially.

The individual in this position plays a major role in the analysis and development of project functional requirements, test plans and test scripts.  The individual in this role will interact with system developers, end users and all other groups involved in project development, testing or test planning.  Responsibilities include assisting in the development of functional requirements, developing test plans, editing and/or writing test cases and test scripts, testing applications and evaluating the test results to determine compliance with test plans and established business processes.

Position Responsibilities

    Develop test strategies, cases and scripts from functional and business requirements.
    Plan, test and report the results of manual and automation testing.
    Identify and document defects and interact with development staff to isolate and resolve them.
    Proactively work with Networking and Server teams to resolve testing issues.
    Follow departmental standards and guidelines.

    Develop technical documentation and make presentations to diverse types of audiences (technical staff, users, management).

Education

    B.S., B.A. in computer science, engineering or a related discipline.

 
Experience:

    At least five years of experience in automation testing is required.
    At least three current years of experience using the HP QualityCenter, QTP and Microsoft Visual Studio Test Professional 2010
    At least three current years of experience writing SQL queries.
    Experience with an Agile development approach.
    Experience with one or more databases (e.g., Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL).
    Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies in midrange and PC computing environments.
    Strong past automotive receivable systems experience is desirable.
