HP Test Engineer,
Location: Sacramento, CA
Duration: 1 year
HP is seeking testers to perform activities for various levels of testing (i.e. integration, system, performance, UA testing, etc) for the a project to convert 280+ existing Assembler real-time transaction programs to COBOL programs executing under CICS.
Requirements include:
- Experience as an IBM mainframe COBOL or Assembler language developer using JCL, CICS , VSAM and DB2 is required.
- Experience developing test plans, test scripts, and test cases from requirements specifications.
- Experience with testing using any of the technologies listed above
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a testing role within the IT industry.
- Understanding of testing methodologies and techniques including manual and automated testing, black box testing, smoke testing, and regression testing
- Experience with HP Quality Center is required, Quick Test Pro and Load Runner is desired.
- Experience with Load and Performance Testing are a plus.
- Formal testing training is a plus
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communications skills and the ability to collaborate successfully with a diverse team of other developers and client staff is mandatory.
