Description
Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Systems Administrator capabilities with 5 years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks, a degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Under the direction of the Technical Support Section Chief, Storage Migration project manager, and Storage Team Lead perform storage management technical support related activities and data migrations. This position provides high-level customer service and consulting on a broad array of services. A qualified candidate should have at least 2 years experience in SAN management ideally using EMC/CISCO SAN management tools. The position is primarily Monday through Friday, but it will require off hour work for change implementation. The position involves the direct technical support for the following: Storage migrations using EMC tools and common server based tools Storage administration using the following EMC tools: StorageScope ECC SMC SPA Windows 2003/2008 VMware ESX or ESXi 4.x Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, or 2010 VISIO The position will require the candidate to develop and implement tactical plans for changes such as storage migrations. Problem/change management procedures must be followed. The position will also be required to develop and follow written technical procedures. Included in the responsibilities is will be creation of storage documentation including details on array such as cache partitioning and division of disk between mainframe and Distributed

Problem determination (e.g. using dumps, traces, traps)	4 (Very Strong) of 5 (Expert) and 5+ Yrs.
Procedures for starting and stopping services	2 (Limited Experience) of 5 (Expert) and 5+ Yrs.
Work with vendor to implement the software platforms	3 (Moderately Strong) of 5 (Expert) and 5+ Yrs.
Work with vendor to resolve hardware and software problems	4 (Very Strong) of 5 (Expert) and 5+ Yrs.
Information Technology - Server Support
