Job Title: C++ Developer

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 2+ year's contract

 

 

Tasks:

Work on algorithms, middleware, user interface, build scripts, for a seismic inversion package.

Participate in an effort to boost the performance of this package by massive parallelization and code tuning.

Contribute to related tasks in the team . (Writing end user documentation, testing, maintaining & updating the automated build and regression testing environment).

 

 Required  skills:

 

Experienced C++ developer (3+ years).

Experience with GNU make.

Able to write software design documents.

Work within (and contribute to) the existing software process (agile / scrum) in our team.

 

 Preferred skills:

Experience with Linux development and Unix scripting.

Scientific background and/or experience with technical /scientific software.

Experience with Java, C#, .NET, MS Developer Studio.

Experience with the STL and BOOST libraries.

Experience with building parallel applications (using MPI).

Experience writing geoscience software.

Experience with software performance tuning .

 

Additional info:

Experience in software engineering 6+ years

A strong intermediate to senior developer.

Ability to work independently
