Job Title: Sr. SQL Server DBA

Location: Charlotte/ NC or San Francisco, CA - F2F interview must after phone

Duration: 6-12+ Months Contract

 

Job Description:

 

4 year degree in IT or related field and 8+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

1. SQL Server DBA with 8+ year’s experience

2. Microsoft Certified SQL Server DBA desired but not mandatory.

3. Experience with upgrades from earlier versions of SQL Server to SQL Server 2008

4. Experience setting up Transactional Replication of SQL Server instances for Reporting/Data Warehousing

5. Experience with SQL Server tuning and using profiling tools

6. Analyzing data access patterns and suggesting solutions (partitioning, indexes, query optimization etc.)

 

Manager NOTE: We want candidates who have primarily been administrators with SQL version upgrade experience. Communication is key. Must have extensive cluster and db mirroring experience.
