Technical/Functional Skills      :  Point of Sale (Software Application Support not Hardware Support)

In depth knowledge of NCR ACS application 

                     Windows 2003 servers

                     Self checkouts (SCOT)

POS experience – retail world (EBT, gift cards)

Working Knowledge on Windows platform, Win2k server

Windows tools for troubleshooting (remote admin into store; review event logs; ftp files; review services; start/end services)

Basic network knowledge (how switches/routers work; how server talks to registers; how to make server/register talk to each other and research if are)

Microtrax Payment Systems

 

Soft Skills

•             Work well with other IT Teams, Stores.

•             Customer service oriented

•             Proactive

•             Prioritizing & delegating tasks

•             Strong initiative

•             Ownership of tasks

 

Experience Required :

6-8 years of experience in supporting Point of Sale software application support for Retail or related industries.

 

Roles and Responsibilities        :

•             As a support analyst would be responsible to support the Point of Sales software application and the various interfaces at Enterprise Level,

•             Met the SLAs of delivery, troubleshooting and working with various teams

•             Work with the team in different zone to deliver the required fixes

•             Provide temporary and permanent fixes for the problems

•             Root cause analysis

 

 

Generic Managerial Skills    :  Able to work with teams in different time zones across the world.
