Title: .NET Developer

Location:  Fort Worth, TX

Duration: 3 to 6+ month contract


Job Description:


LOCAL candidates to Dallas or state of Texas ONLY.  Face to Face interview required after phone interview. 
 

Role:

.NET Developer – 3 to 6+ month contract located in downtown Fort Worth

 

*Candidates must complete a hand-written prescreening form on .NET on their own without any online help. Results will be sent along with their resume to the client. 

 

Required Skills:

5+ years design experience on database-centric enterprise-scale projects

5+ years of experience with the Windows operating system and environment

3+ years relational database experience (Oracle 10g or higher a plus)

1+ years of stored procedure experience, preferably Oracle PL/SQL

3-5 years of experience with .NET framework languages (C#)

1+ year of .NET 3.5 experience

3+ years of C# WinForms .NET experience

 

Preferred Skills:

5+years of experience with a full software development life cycle

3+ years of experience with unit testing, preferably NUnit / JUnit

5+ years of object-oriented design driven development experience

1+ years of source control (prefer Perforce) experience

Experience with code reviews, peer reviews, and other team oriented development

The ability to work with minimum supervision to deliver the tasks outlined above

Technical resource management experience, both internal and external

 

The principal purpose of this position is to develop application code using technical aspects of system development from the receipt of business analysis work streams (i.e. Use Cases, Data Model, Class Diagrams, Storyboards and Screen Flows) or documents provided by a Technical Analyst. The position would, in most cases, be working on the shop POS system, all interfaces to internal and external systems, and the job would also involve a technical understanding on the effect of shop system changes on other enterprise systems. Included in these efforts would be the delivery of application code.

 

The typical challenges faced by this position include: the ability to effectively estimate timelines after receipt of Business Analysis Artifacts, maintaining high quality output to aid the test team with delivery of a quality product, handling shifting priorities effectively and being given sufficient time to develop and program test enhancements, and being able to explain clearly to all levels of non-technical co-workers the issues associated with a planned software iteration.
