Build Engineer….this is a Heads-up order. The Manager would like to see resumes quickly.
Location: Detroit, MI
Contract – 6 months or longer
· Implement release deployment standards; troubleshoot and fix compilation or build script issues
· participate in change management meetings and then own changes submitted through CM Process
· Advocate new tools and processes to continuously improve build and source control efficiency
· Build SSIS packages and label them for release in a source version control environment
· Create release and build process in line with enterprise wide change management system
· Architect and design a proper build, release and revision environment
· Lead operational support, proactively manage uptime, monitoring and maintenance of production/Staging/QA/Development environments
· Maintain release calendar; communicate release plan and identify and assist in design/implementation of necessary build tools to increase release efficiency; implement various automated solutions
· Identify, implement, and support branching model to support agreed upon release calendar
· Administer, manage, and maintain source control system
Own QA builds, pre-release activities and all documentation associated with them
