Job Title: BUSINESS ANALYST

Location : Quincy MA

Duration: 6 month

Description

Ø Responsible for developing and documenting system and functional requirements for new or changing applications within a business and executing necessary production support activities (as needed).

Ø Demonstrates deep knowledge of the client SDLC and champions this common approach and processes across the business and IT delivery teams.

Ø Exhibits trusting and credible interpersonal relationships with business partners, project managers, the IT delivery teams and Quality Assurance.

Ø Serve as consultants to business units in planning and coordinating systems analysis, design, and implementation/enhancement (M&E) projects to automate processing or improve business systems.

Ø Focuses on developing and improving business processes, assisting in metrics development, both within the technology and business organizations.

Ø Provides consultation to projects teams and ensures traceability of business requirements through all stages of development. Conducts solutioning/assessment activities to define large, complex, enterprise-wide projects/programs.

Ø Ensures that the design and integration of proposed systems, software, and hardware solutions leads to the development and growth of the business through effective use of technology. Identifies, proposes, and influences business solutions.

Ø Works directly with business partners to understand business objectives and formulate solutions (systems, processes, and procedures) to parallel and strengthen overall business strategies. Helps shape business strategic plan by providing objective feedback, insight, and recommendations (which may include non-technical solutions).

Ø As needed, tracks SD team activities and metrics, develops reports, analyzes metrics for trends and makes recommendations for improvement; provides support for production issues such as monitoring production cycles, performing configuration updates, and testing production fixes; works with outsource vendors to monitor and ensure appropriate support levels.

Ø Actively contributes to staff development and internal departmental process improvement, acting as a role model and mentor to SD Team colleagues.

Ø BA or BS degree in Systems, IT, Business Management, or related degree preferred; or equivalent experience. Masters degree a plus

Ø Minimum 8-10 years experience. 5+ years of strong Analyst or Project Management experience, with demonstrated use of the project management life cycle, including tools and methodologies.
