SQL DBA / Developer / Architect in Rochester, NY to work as part of a team developing and maintaining applications that support the customer administration center. 

 

• This is a development position, not a database production support role. 
• Individual will be delivering new functionality into the contact center platform.
• Collaborative environment with strong leadership.
• Primarily responsible for design, setup, installation, and implementation of databases, data maintenance (re-indexing, integrity checks, log file monitoring), performance tuning (indexing, compression drive distribution, load balancing, replication), and documentation and implementation of SQL server disaster recovery models.
• Candidate will be working in a support environment with tough time constraints.
• Complete installs, add patches, perform upgrades, process job tickets, test and verify backups and recovery.
• Pro-actively plan for capacity and growth changes in a clustered and non-clustered SQL Server 2005/08 environment.
• Coordinate routine server maintenance and implement infrastructure changes as needed.
• Must have solid SQL DBA / SQL Server experience in a multi-database environment, with in-depth industry knowledge of SQL Server 2005/08.
• Experience with database clustering and replication.
• Experience running and supporting large scale database environments under high transaction volumes.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting SQL Server databases
• Experience monitoring database exports, table space, and extents reports.
• Knowledge of performance tuning, upgrading database application software, completing database replication, data backup and recovery procedures.
• Involvement with physical and logical design of databases, experience generating data structures.
• Experience with SQL Stored Procedures and data extraction routines to import/export data from the repositories.
• Demonstrated expertise in Query Optimization and Tuning, including cross database and cross server queries.
• Ability to configure, install, and maintain multiple database instances.
