JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duration           : 6 months

Location           : Springfield IL

Rate                 : DOE

 

Prior experience on a .NET development project is a plus; not required.

 

 Required Skills:

 

•         Strong skills and experience in managing multiple database environments for development, test, and UAT.  Must be able to coordinate and track schema updates across multiple environments.

 

•         Ability to analyze database performance; Ability to optimize and tune both the schema and queries.

 

•         Strong skills in stored procedure development and performance review

 

•         Ability to create tools that expedite managing multiple database environments, compare systems catalogs between databases and inventory databases contents.

 

•         Strong team skills, exceptional communication skills, and the desire to work and support developers and testers.

 

•         8 years DBA experience, Sybase and/or SQL – see above in red.

 

•         3 years of proven Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere experience – see above in red.

 

•         5 years as a DBA establishing and maintaining multiple development environments that simultaneously support software development teams.
