RUP SYSTEMS ANALYST

Provide oversight and final review of design specification.  Lead effort to identify and evaluate alternative solutions. Understand the client's enterprise-wide Provider Information Platform applications and ensure compliance of product/system design and operating systems development. Assist project managers with creating project plans. Act as a mentor, providing coaching and guidance to Stage I SAs and Quality Testing resources on work related issues. Proactively consult with client and other business and technical staff to resolve business/technical issues and needs. Act as a SME regarding key business functions within product family. Understand interface points of core business/systems and processes. Verify all/most testing at the systems level. Review test results for any system modification. Provide direction on key requirements for test plans. Partner with Business Analyst and other IT staff to ensure the design accomplishes both business and technical requirements. 

 

·   Must be an expert in the systems, programming languages and tools used in the IT industry. 

·   Must have an extensive knowledge of SQL.  

·   Should understand the requirements gathering methodologies and the Application Development Life Cycle.

·   Must posses understanding of the organization's core processes and tools. 

·   The Systems Analyst will provide comprehensive consultation to technical staff and business unit clients in recommending solutions to business problems.

·   Responsible for the design of systems and their subsystems, utilizing an understanding of available system architecture, tools, capabilities, computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and other technical considerations.

·   SA's prepare detailed system requirements, specifications and documents (e.g., detailed enough so that programs may be written or modified.)

·   They provide consultative services through all phases of the Application Development Life Cycle and they support the effectiveness, quality and timeliness of design decisions.
