What they really want are Java/J2EE/SQL developers that have worked for the full life cycle of development. Someone that has worked with the customer developing specs, written the code, tested the code, implemented. Someone that has just written code won't work.
J2EE Development and Support of the suite of Origination applications. - Interact with the business customers to define Business Requirements - Analyze and design application enhancements per requirements - Code, test and implement enhancements and corrections - Perform load/performance testing - Participate in production support pager duty rotation including weekend and off-hour support coverage.
5+ years experience with HTML/JavaScript/XML/JSP server side Java-based environment - 5+ years experience with J2EE - Experience with SUSE Linux, WebLogic 10 a plus - 3+ year experience with DB2 and/or DB2 Connect - 3+ year experience with PVCS - 5+ year experience with a Java-based IDE - Experience Windows 7 a plus - Experience with application load testing and performance tuning - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Strong ability to multi-task effectively - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work individually or as a member of a team - Strong oral and written communication skills - Strong Quality Assurance skills
