Required Skills
Must have prior experience in development of governmental budget change proposals and feasibility study reports.
Must have prior experience with projects totaling a minimum yearly budget of $1 million dollars.
Must have experience in development, production, and alternative procurement for a governmental Request for Proposal (RFP).
Must have project management experience initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and/or closing processes within the last four (4) years.
Must have two (2) years' experience working with a large healthcare related data warehouse.
Must possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Description
Conduct and develop a feasibility study, resulting in a complete Feasibility Study Report (FSR)
Prepare Budget Change Proposals (as necessary)
Prepare a formal Request for Proposal (RFP)
Provide day-to-day direction to include monitoring and facilitating progress, resolving issues and risks, ensuring product quality, and communicating appropriate information to all stakeholders in a timely manner.
Provide first level review and approval of project deliverables.
Provide detailed support and direction to the project team.
Facilitate the analysis and approval of changes to scope, schedule, and budget.
Utilize the Project Management Office (PMO) Enterprise Project Management Methodology for standard project documents where feasible.
Provide effective communication with project team, sponsor, PMO Manager, and Project Executive Steering Committee to help ensure project success.
Directly manage and monitor project schedules.
Manage issues and provide mitigation strategies as needed and escalate issues that cannot be resolved at lower levels.
Prepares and provides PMO standard status reports on a timely basis.
Utilize the CalPERS standard project scheduling tool – Primavera.
Provides updates on project status and health utilizing the Enterprise Project Portfolio (EPP) tool.
Baseline project schedule and maintain schedule within Primavera.
Attend PMO Project Management Review meetings as needed.
Work collaboratively with all staff
Follow CalPERS Core Values on a daily basis
