Role: Sr. SAN Storage Architect (Sr. Storage Operations and Storage Solutions Architects)

Location: Multiple locations (Anywhere in USA)

 

Storage Technology Experts who lead day-to-day storage operations and optimization of an information infrastructure, and they fill critical staff, skill or experience gaps within our customers, participate in industry recognized/world class advanced technology training and certification including Isilon, Vblock and Vplex Virtual Cloud Products.

 

Typical tasks that an candidate may perform include:

·         Resource management.

·         Storage provisioning and monitoring.

·         Weekly status reporting.

·         Configuration, capacity and storage reporting.

·         Customer support, trouble-shooting and resolution.

·         Root cause analysis.

·         Storage management documentation.

·         Storage operation integration.

·         You will bring best practice knowledge in the areas of business continuity, high availability planning/design and capacity planning.

·         Provision storage based on standardized procedures as outlined by EMC best practice documentation.

·         Actively contribute to the configuration, layout and performance tuning of storage infrastructure.

·         Participate in the execution of the business continuance and disaster recovery plans as agreed upon by EMC and the customer.

·         Support and train both customers and less experienced co-workers.

·         Executive necessary storage infrastructure maintenance and necessary data migration, as required.

·         Travel to various customer engagements.

·         Perform other duties as required.

Required Technical Skills:

·         Architecture and design/implementation experience with multiple EMC storage solutions.

·         EXPERT SAN skill and experience; Strong NAS knowledge with Celerra or NetApp is a definite asset or Architecture, implementation and migration experience with Symmetrix and/or Clariion VMAX, VMAXe, Isilon and VNX

·         EXPERT SRDF skills/experience

·         Replication Manager, PowerPath, ControlCenter, SMC, PPME, Open Replicator, Open Migrator and other EMC software experience preferred
VMAX, VNX, DMX, Clariion or Celerra, FAST VP or Virtual Provisioning exp Preferred.

·         Extensive Switch experience as it relates to a SAN.

·         Multiple operating systems experience including Unix, Linux or Win.

 

Education and Experience:

5+ years of industry experience

Bachelor degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent combination of skills and experience
