Position: Citrix XenServer Engineer
Location: Boxboro, MA
Length: 4 weeks w/option for additional time
Start Date: ASAP
The consultant will perform a variety of engineering activities related to implementing Citrix XenServer 6.1 exp working with a virtual switch on a virtual server.
Requirements:
1. Must have 2-4years experience working with Citrix XenServer and Citrix XenServer
a. Source VDI environment is healthy and serving virtual desktops via XenDesktop & PVS
i. Necessary source luns are successfully replicating to the DR destination SAN. Upon last communication the luns to replicate included: vServer, vDisk, & DR source luns
ii. Destination infrastructure has XenServer pool configured & operational, network mirrors source environments configuration, and the client dhcp scope & vlan tagging is functioning.
iii. Destination SAN luns exactly mirror the configuration of the source luns (size, name, etc) and are successfully presentable and available to the XenServer pool.
iv. XenServers at destination (DR site) must be at same XenServer release & patch level. Network drivers must also be patched to match source hypervisors.Aid in the awareness of standards and best practices, as well as enforcing these standards.
2. HUGE PLUS IF CERTIFIED IN ANY OF THE BELOW:
a. Citrix CCA, CCAA/CCEA preferable
b. Citrix CCA XenApp 4.5
c. Citrix CCA XenApp 5
d. Citrix CCEA, CCEE, CCIA
3. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
4. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator
5. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project
