Position: Oracle DBA

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 8 months +

 

Job Description: 

Responsible for all aspects of Oracle database management, including:

• Backup, Restore Replication

• Tuning and Troubleshooting

• Security

• DB clustering (Windows/RAC)

- Installation, configuration and maintenance of all components for the Oracle DB

- Responsible for break/fix issues, with 24x7 support for customer impacting outages

- Attend planning calls and meetings with AT&T and Alcatel-Lucent for personnel

- Provide on-site Oracle training for IPTV Database team

 

Qualification: 

3-5 years’ experience as a senior Oracle DBA

- Experience with Oracle 11g database installation, Configuration, Cloning, Backup & Tuning.

- Experience with RAC 11g - Real Application Clusters maintenance, installation and troubleshooting

- Experience with Oracle 11g Grid Control/Oracle Enterprise Manager, Management Agent setup, Oracle Management Console configuration

- Experience in Oracle database design, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, database backup and recovery.

- Demonstrated, in-depth knowledge of database internals and data structures.

- Strong knowledge of SQL/SQL*Plus and strong understanding of PL/SQL and stored procedures/pkgs.

- Proven experience managing the external and external database security

- Strong knowledge of UNIX shell scripting languages

- Knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate
