Location: Jersey City
Duration: 6 months+
Just make sure they are top notch in Java, Linux and SQL – if they worked in Sybase this is a plus. I am also stressing more of the soft skills. Note the adjectives next to each requirement – it should help to prioritize what is important.
A large investment bank has an immediate need for two senior java developers with at least 5+ years experience with full end-to-end application development with a top notch working knowledge of Java, Linux, SQL (Sybase preferable). Candidates should have an average understanding of common design frameworks and patterns and data modeling. Candidates should be above-average problem solvers, above-average communicators (both written and verbal), extremely fast learners, be able to work independently with minimal direction, have good estimation skills and excellent testing skills.
Basic understanding of web technologies required (HTML, Javascript, JSP, Struts).
