Job Title: SR. AIX Consultant

Duration: 6 months

Location: PA

 

Minimum Requirements:

·         Current knowledge of IBM system hardware and OS configurations.

·         5+ years experience working in production environment installing, configuring, monitoring, tuning, and \ troubleshooting UNIX servers.

·         IBM AIX and pSeries experience should include Power6/7 systems, AIX 5,3 and 6.1, PowerVM virtualization, VIO, and Mobility, PowerHA and clustering, NIM management, MPIO and SAN disk tuning,  performance management, and Patch/Firmware Management,

·         Proficient in technical project management, OS security and problem solving skills

·         Ability to develop production support processes and documentation including automated monitoring methods

Description:

·         System administration of AIX/UNIX OS functions in support of high performance and highly available solutions

·         Ability to design and maintain UNIX system infrastructure to ensure high availability and automated functionality. Knowledge of latest industry methods in virtualization,  backup/restore and disaster recovery, and OS security.
