JOB TITLE : SQL DBA
LOCATION : Bartlesville, OK
DURATION : 6 Months
Job Description:
· Providing SQL Server database administration, application tuning, database security and production support for critical systems with high availability requirements.
· Installing, upgrading and maintaining SQL Server instances.
· Planning and executing database backup and recovery
· Providing database tuning for performance and stability
· Managing physical database design and implementation, database security implementation and monitoring
· Using customer change management processes to prevent production disruptions and outages
· Researching and recommending solutions that best meet business needs and Enterprise operational requirements
· Partnering with other customer IT organizations to ensure quality support and delivery to the end-user. This position participates in an on-call support for the critical systems.
· Working with Application support, Server Support, Storage Support and Networking teams to tune and debug SQL Environment.
· Ability and willingness to perform tasks outside normal business hours and on weekends as well as carry an on call pager
Candidates should possess:
· 12+ years of SQL experience with large enterprise customers
· Strong Fluency in English
· Oil and Gas experience is preferred
· Must be able to travel and be onsite 5 days a week (M - F)
· US Citizen Must be a Full-time salaried employee and possess an email address with a company domain
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Expert diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem solving for SQL Server vers. 2005 and 2008R2
· Ability to work effectively across time zones and geography
· Self-directed and self-motivated to solve problems quickly and creatively
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment Infrastructure support and design experience
· Experience with SQL Server in the following areas:
o SQL Server Clustering
o Replication
o Log Shipping
o Experience in performance tuning
o Advanced Backup and Recovery options
o Advanced Configuration and Security
o Analysis Services SCOM monitoring of SQL Server Clustered environments
o LiteSpeed
