We do have an immediate req for OBIEE consultant at Chicago IL

Role: Sr. OBIEE Developer

Rate: Open

Start: 3/5/12

Duration: 6-12 months

Location: Chicago IL

Skype Hire.

 

 

Consultant will be responsible for development, testing, maintenance and support of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) base enterprise business intelligence solutions.  K must have experience working in an enterprise size environment and exposure to business users via meetings, etc.

 

***Client is not looking for a reports developer but a consultant that understand solutions and can do metadata modeling and some architecture***

 

Duties and responsibilities:

• Must have strong experience with OBIEE design and implementation
• In-depth knowledge, expertise and hands-on experience in creating aggregations and managing metadata using the OBIEE framework in order to optimize performance (candidate must be actual to clearly explain actual examples from past projects).
• Experience in the on-going management of aggregates and drill-paths using the OBIEE framework
• Knowledge and experience with normalized, dimensional and hybrid modeling techniques and approaches within the OBIEE Administrator tool.
• Provide knowledge transfer to other developers and will work closely with business analysis to help translate user requirements into BI solutions.
• Complete technical documentation to ensure system is fully documented

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

• Experience developing Business Intelligence solutions using OBIEE
• Demonstrated skills with business process modeling and requirements definitions
• Strong technical knowledge of OBIEE admin/metadata tools, security, user interface design, development and deployment of dashboards, analytics and performance management reports
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Familiarity with TOAD or similar tool
• OBIEE modeling to back end databases

 

Plus:

• Essbase experience  
CTL-M or other automated scheduling
