Location : Irving, Texas

JD :
Minimum 5 + years in core SYBASE DATABASE administration plus certification of SYBASE Advanced database administration.
Should be familiar with : ASE 15 New features, System table overview,
Installation of SYBASE ASE,IQ,Replication server. Overview or understanding of Third party toolls like Autosys, Tivoli, BMC patrol, BMC SQL Backtrack.
Backup and recovery
Dump/load database, diffrents methods of dumping transactions. Disaster recovery process.
Scheduling maintanance jobs like reorg, update stats ,sysmon, create index, dbcc commands, MDA,
Provide day-to-day database administration and oncall support for PROD./UAT/DEV environment.
Good understanding of Unix and shell scripting
Should be good team player and have excellent communication skills
Should be able to take ownership in terms handling critical databases in Primary DBA role
Take initiative for customer requirements Timely executes deliverables, Escalation/Status updates and ensure periodic feeback on issues with reporting authority.
