SAP PAYROLL ANALYST (financial Domain)

WASHINGTON, DC/ DE


 

 

  • Support the transition from Project to Post Go-Live Support by performing break/fix analysis and resolution
  • Conduct solution architecting workshops with the business managers.  Work with Amtrak staff and end-users to determine the functional requirements for the system within the SAP HCM PAYROLL module. 
  • Create detailed systems documentation, test scripts, and presentations.
  • Leverage business and technical expertise to address technology architecture, blueprinting, data analysis, business modeling, technical design, application development, integration, and enablement.
  • Configure the SAP HCM PAYROLL system to meet the business requirements. 
  • Guide small teams implementing business process improvements and implementing SAP HCM PAYROLL systems for Amtrak
  • Manage and oversee the design and development of customized reports, utilizing ABAP technical resources and other tools (e.g., report writer) functionality within SAP. 
  • Design and development of interfaces programs to/from existing partner systems. 
  • Provide general technical support in PAYROLL business systems analysis for our business customers and conduct SAP training as required for internal COE personnel.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to other systems analysts and client personnel assigned to the projects.

 

Mid-Level with Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience writing Customer Requirements, Functional Requirements, Non-Functional Requirements, Performance Requirements, Design Requirements.

Must Have Skills

  • Three (3) years of prior professional consulting or equivalent finance and controlling business process industry experience within SAP.
  • Three (3) years of recent hands-on systems configuration experience within the SAP HCM PAYROLL module.
  • Successful completion of at least one full life cycle implementations of an SAP HCM PAYROLL system.
  • Strong understanding of systems development lifecycle and system implementation methodologies.
  • Ability to travel (25%)—time may be split between Washington DC and Wilmington DE.

Strong Plus (But Not Required)

  • SAP's Project Systems experience
  • Experience in Operation Support

 

  • Expert in Visio, creating swim lanes, process flow and arch diagrams
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills(will be required to pull information from various sources and put some structure and organization around the documentation)
  • Ability to conduct interview sessions and document findings
  • Required to participate in many meetings and create agenda items prior to meeting and produce detail meeting minutes within 24 hours turnaround time
  • Excellent knowledge of business analysis techniques including interviews, questionnaires, user observation, workshops, brain storming, use cases development, role playing and prototyping.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Ability to understand and craft business processes and procedures
  • Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail & capacity to assign priorities to multiple competing and important activities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills, demonstrated ability to interact with a variety of end-users.
  • Well organized with consistent attention to detail and quality
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
