Business Analyst (Property and Casualty)
Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: 6+ months
Job Description:
There is a need for additional strong Business Analysts with Farm, Auto, Home & Commercial experience (Finys is a plus).
The ideal candidate with possess very strong BA skills and understand the business reasons around requirements and be able to challenge those requirements from a systems, operations, and logistics perspective.
The subject matter expert will ideally have expertise in the following :
Understand the insurance business in one or more of the core areas (Auto, Home, Commercial, WC, etc.)
Understand technology and how it supports the business.
Identify the BUSINESS NEED before defining the solution so that the solution solves the correct problem
Understand the impact of both Technical changes AND Business changes
Provide VALUE in the requirements gathering and vetting process
Document business rules and bridge the gap between technology and business (not pseudo-code, but a clear understanding of process flows)
Work with stake holders to ensure artifacts align with business needs (prototypes, reports, screen layouts, etc)
Resolve conflicts between business and technology
Mentor other members of the team
