Position: UDB DBA Consultant

Location: Reston, VA

Duration: 6-12 Months

 

Datacenter Consolidation-DB2 optimization.  Migrate, consolidate, and upgrade db2 database servers from solaris/aix to linux virtual hosts. Upgrade database servers to UDB 9.7. Also, will support an upgrade of UDB 9.7 on a large data warehouse.

 

Consultant will perform the following DBA tasks for transactional and data warehouse environments:

UDB upgrades, migrations of UDB databases from Solaris/AIX to Linux, performance tuning, script writing, performing backups/recovery, database monitoring, SQL writing, providing 24 x 7 oncall production support

 

Required Skills:

UDB 9.x

Experience with UDB database upgrades

UDB EEE Data warehouses experience

Experience supporting UDB on Solaris/AIX/Linux

Strong written & Verbal communication skills
