Location: Austin, TX or Houston, TX or Alpharetta, GA  (All Locations are available)
Duration: 1 yr contract (possibility of extension)

Description:

We are seeking a SharePoint Support Engineer with a strong support and some development background to assist with ongoing support, light development, administration, and expansion of theMOSS 2010 environment for our fortune 100 client . This individual will be involved in a variety of tasks related to the development, support, and maintenance of SharePoint. Person will support company-wide or stand-alone SharePoint sites, aggregation of content and applications into SharePoint, and integration with other enterprise systems and/or 3rd party plug-ins. This position will also provide technical support for SharePoint end-users and other members of the IT support team.

In addition, one will be responsible for:

·         Installation & configuration of SharePoint servers

·         Administering & managing the SharePoint forms and databases

·         Developing, maintaining, and enforcing SharePoint Governance policies

·         Ensuring the integrity and security of SharePoint data in accordance with business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance

·         Performing SharePoint network and security audits and managing security for all sub-sites

·         Deploying SharePoint custom features and packages

·         Performing and testing routine SharePoint backups and restores

·         Monitoring and Analyzing SharePoint server, application, network, and input/output device performance

·         Responsible for SharePoint infrastructure (hardware, OS, etc)

·         2+ years experience in application development with strong experience in Microsoft OfficeSharePoint Server (as an application development platform); Visual Studio, .NET Framework, and ASP

·         Strong object oriented programming background

·         Experience supporting/developing custom SharePoint components, including workflows, web parts, features and templates

·         Microsoft SQL Server 2005 & 2008 database development including table design and stored procedures

·         A working knowledge of firewalls and networks

·         Must work well in a collaborative team environment and be willing to work off-hours as needed

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Strong understanding of SharePoint 2007/2010 Farm architectures

·         Experience migrating SharePoint 2007 sites to the MOSS 2010 platform

·         Strong T-SQL knowledge and experience with SSRS

·         Experience with HyperV environments

·         Understanding of Microsoft NLB and SQL clustered environments

·         Solid understanding of host headers and SSL technology

·         Deep & practical understanding of HTTP, IIS and Windows internals

·         .NET programming to deploy the wsp packages

·         Experience in deploying and configuring 3rd party web parts
