Position : Active Directory Engineer.
Location : Atlanta, GA.
Duration : 6 Months Contract.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Working in a senior information technology role with Microsoft Active Directory the AD engineer will have the skills to perform technical analysis of requirements, recommend solutions, and estimate project timelines & levels of effort. The AD engineer will successfully complete the migration from a legacy AD infrastructure to a new AD infrastructure with little to no business impact.
Required Technical Skills/Qualifications:
Experience successfully upgrading and migrating Active Directory environments with no less than 6,000 objects.
Architecting and delivering directory solutions built on highly-scalable platforms and technologies, including Windows Server 2003 and 2008.
Engineer directory solutions for applications and evaluate LDAP-related technologies.
Develop directory technology standards and directory synchronization processes.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Active Directory networking (DNS, DHCP, etc.).
Extensive experience with Windows Server 2003/2008.
Produce LDAP schema designs and operational plans for populating, maintaining, operating, deployment and enhancement of various forms of enterprise level directories.
Provide support for the existing directory implementations.
Proficient with common aspects of directory design (namespace, schema, security, topology, etc.) and schema extension, migration and merging strategies.
Experience in automating user account and group membership creation.
5-7 years experience with Active Directory implementations.
5-7 years experience with Active Directory upgrades.
5-7 years experience with Active Directory migrations.
Required Soft Skills/Qualifications:
Proficient project execution skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize in order to meet deadlines.
Proficient ability to communicate effectively with both business and technology team members, including both written and verbal communication.
Proficient using MS Word and MS Visio to document designs, plans and processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of application architecture and technology infrastructure.
