Position: PeopleSoft System Administrator

Location: Greensboro, NC

Duration: 4+ Months
"Expenses are paid by client"

RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

·        The position will install, administer and tune PeopleSoft 9.1 infrastructure components:Application Server, Web Server, Process Scheduler and Application Messaging; configure, maintain and support PeopleSoft GL module;

·        Coordinate with project managers on system implementations for major upgrades, PeopleTools patches/fixes and Application module bundles and maintenance packs;

·        Analyze all aspects of infrastructure and recommend changes that improve performance and/or availability;

·        Design load balancing and failover strategy for web and application servers, required to administer a Phire Environment.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

·        Desired advanced DB skills including table partitioning, index strategies (e.g. local, global, etc.),

·        Fair understanding of the oracle optimizer, custom db statistics, analyzing AWR and 10046 traces.

·        PeopleTools 8.51, Oracle 11g, shell scripting (KSH, BASH, ZSH or perl), Phire Administration;

·        JAVA and Weblogic a plus.
