Skills Required and Job Description:
Description of Work:
* Build and maintain a library of source analysis scripts designed to determine data quality, accuracy, adherence to engineering standards
* Work directly with business and network teams to understand requirements, standards, etc
* Communicate findings in multiple formats; excel, PowerPoint, csv
Qualifications:
* Experience Level: 5+ years
* BS degree in Computer Science or related field from accredited college
* 5+ years of overall Software Development experience
* 3+ years of PL/SQL development experience with emphasis on understanding stored procedures, functions, packages and triggers
* 3+ years with Oracle 10g or 11g database experience
* Knowledge/experience with the following technologies: Oracle SQL, Oracle SQL*Loader, Shell scripting, Linux, batch scheduling (cronjob) and monitoring
* 3+ years of data analysis from a trending, predictive and historical perspective
* Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment
* Ability to be proactive in approach and resolution, be able to take on tasks to circumvent and minimize data exposure
* Excellent planning, time management, multi-tasking, problem resolution and decision making abilities
* Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with internal business and technical teams as well as vendors and consultants
* Experience applying Agile development methodologies in working with business users to solicit and implement requirements related to data cleansing and auditing
* Ability to take directions and plan and execute independently work with minimal guidance is required in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
* Prior Telecom OSS or BSS experience preferred in environments larger than 1TB
Additional preferred qualifications/experience:
* 3+ years of data networks to include Layers 1-3
* 3+ years of data network engineering and operations experience
* 3+ years of network and resource planning
* 1+ years of network inventory and asset management |
