Project Manager – Oracle Project Accounting
THE COMPANY
An international leading transportation services firm is looking for an Oracle
Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This opportunity has the
potential to go full-time and you will be working with some of the recent
technologies in the industry.
THE POSITION
The company is using the PMI model for managing the various projects and being
well versed in the PMI methodology is a key to your success. You will be
instrumental in the support and upgrading of tier projects accounting systems.
There is a combination of in-house and out-sourced technical resources to do the
changes, and you will be streamlining the process and upgrading the packages as
needed. You will work with business unit leadership, identify requirements,
develop project plans, select resources and manage it all to completion. You are
going to be responsible for several modules as this is an international company
with accounting offices is more than 70 countries and all have multi-currency
issues.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelors Degree in MIS, or Finance is required
• Must have strong PM skills – A PMP certification would be a plus
• Ability to develop ideas, present and drive them to the stakeholders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to set and manage client expectations.
• A self-starter who is results-oriented and able to operate effectively within a
team environment.
• Sound judgment and analysis skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
