We are looking for VMWare Administrator with one of our direct client.

PLEASE NOTE: This requisition is for two openings. The manager will be receiving 6 resumes for these multiple openings.
The System Administrator position at DHSS will be responsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting and supporting a very visible and large project. The candidate should possess a thorough understanding of VMware. Experience in networking, Cisco switches, and SAN are also highly desirable. The candidate will work closely with the DHSS telecom team.

Years of Relevant Experience: 4 plus years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study.
Role Description:
All roles specified in SA2 plus the following:
• Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting VMware ESXi 4.1 and above.
• Experience with Dell chassis and blade installation.
• Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows server 2008 R2 in a VMware environment.
• A solid understanding of networking/distributed computing in a Cisco switch infrastructure.
• An understanding of SAN concepts in a VMware environment.
• An understanding of firewall concepts.
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday.
• May need to travel within the State of Delaware at their expense.
• Ability to flex schedule or work overtime as work load dictates.
• Should possess strong organizational and project management skills and be able to apply them while working on a large complex technical assignment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
• Must be able to work with a team but also take initiative on their own.
• Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio.
• Regards documentation of a system a must.
