+ This engineer will help to develop our Development Testing and Continuous Integration setup.

Skills:
+ Must be a good programmer - someone who can get most of the information they need about a project by looking at code and build configs.
+ Must have very strong Java skills using Test Driven Development practices
+ Strong very large scale server side java development experience - must have experience setting up
development projects, build environment, unit testing frameworks, continuous integration.
+ Should be reasonable conversant in Python
+ Should be able to create scripts in a command shell or other scripting language
+ Must be very familiar with JUnit or TestNG and other testing tools like Selenium, Watir, FIT etc.
+ Must be very familiar with Continuous Integration tools like Hudson/Jenkins, Cruise Control etc.

JOB TITLE WINDOWS APPLICATION ENGINEER

Description:
Windows application engineer with application development experience. Should be knowledgeable in Windows applications such as IIS, and ASP or SQL development. May need to write scripts, monitor application issues, help with typical system manager tasks. Will be involved in failover exercise to a new data center, and all tasks involved in moving this application stack to a new data center. Experience in migrating Windows applications helpful; can-do attitude for being proactive, troubleshooting, investigating, and solving problems is essential. Experience in planning migration of an application extremely useful.
Tasks:
Day to day management of an internal knowledge base that resides on 4 servers:
• All servers run RHEL4: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4
• Two servers are search engine and two are two are web application servers.
• Architecture includes PHP 5, MySQL 4, Vespa 4.1
• Tasks include management of the database, messaging to users, some management of server tasks. This database application is on life support. Tasks may include assistance in moving this KDB to a different, supported architecture, which will involve a data migration exercise. There is some system administration documentation for this kdb, but no knowledgeable architect.
Day to day management of an application environment for surveys, the Confirm it application. Help in failover exercise planning and execution. Help in moving this application environment to a new data center.
• Architecture includes two web servers, two authoring servers and a SQL database cluster.
• Windows 2008 sp1 64 bit, IIS 7.0
Will work on a regular basis with a SQL DBA engineer, technical database engineer, and program manager.
POSITION : COGNOS TM1 Developer
DURATION : 6+ MONTHS

SR. UNIX/LINUX ADMINISTRATOR

Job responsibilities:
· Administer complex Unix-based systems in a multi-tiered architecture, generally from the operating system or application level and up.

Job Description :
A systems engineer who has experience in both Windows and Linux environments. You should be comfortable with working on building and managing a network of Linux systems and interoperability with windows servers. You should have experience with Tomcat or JBOSS. An ideal candidate should also be familiar with http apache server. You should have maintained MySQL database beyond start/stopping it.
An ideal candidate will have network and routing troubleshooting and configuration production experience. You will know the basics of load balancer systems and fundamentals of how a load balancer works. You are familiar with the administration of a Linux system in general. Command line administration is essential in this role. You will also have experience using one of the system build tools listed:
AutoYast, Kickstart, RPM Management.
An ideal candidate will have experience in scripting/programming involving all of the following languages: Perl, Bash, Zsh. One should be able to automate system tasks by writing a shell script.
Additionally the candidate will be responsible for
Deployments to the production environment
On-call responsibilities for the environment they will be supporting.
Supporting a Near Line Storage environment (NetApp and Isilon)

MySQL Has maintained this type of database beyond start/stopping it. Knows how to add users, create simple schema, do database dumps Y 1 within 6 months
Network and Routing Troubleshooting and Configuration Has production experience with being able to log onto device, show configuration of interfaces, configure simple static routes. Other experience a bonus, such as configuring vlans, trunks, FW rules via command line. Know common commands to diagnose networking issues, take tcpdumps, and analyze packet captures. Y 2 within 12 months
