Job Title : SAP BW Architect with BO
Location : San Diego, CA.
Duration : 5 + months
Note: Medical experience big plus
Description:
Responsible for design/ build/ testing/ deployment of BO Webi Reports
BI Best Practices in Data Model/ ETL/ Scheduling/ Queries/ Performance Tuning
Experience with the SAP Data Models across various modules/ subject areas
Experience with SAP BO Solutions leveraging tools like Xcelsius and Webi
Drive and participate in all aspects of Discovery, Design, Develop and Deploy
Work closely with BI SME, BI Architect, BW Developers
Focus on usability and workflows
BO Best Practices in Webi Design & OLAP Universes
Build out the Business Semantic Layer
Webi Report Content Migration & Deployment
Plan & layout Job scheduling requirements based on customer needs
Knowledge Transfer to Customer Webi Developer
Tasks:
Capture KPIs, metrics, attributes/ dimensions required for analytics & reporting
Identify gaps based on current state on architecture, ETL, sourcing, etc
Identify security requirements for data access
Capture data volumes, data refresh & latency from the various sources to SAP BW
Define data architecture (cubes, DSOs, etc) based on requirements
Address domain-specific and cross-domain requirements
Determine ETL required to provision data from new/ external sources
Impact analysis on existing SAP BW data architecture – data models, ETL, extracts
Impact analysis on existing SAP BW Master Data/ Hierarchies
Impact analysis on any SAP BW BEx Queries
Determine timeline/ resource constraints for data integration
Assess impact of data integration timeline on overall implementation timeline
Obtain consensus/ buy-in on data integration & implementation timeline changes
