Oracle EBS DBA@ Muscatine, IA

1)      Drive Best practices and standards in the area of application technical architecture.
2)      Ensure production requirements and goals are met.
3)      Ensures development and definition of process and standards related to the Oracle EBS environment.
4)      Develop proper documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) systems.
5)      Track and document all outages and incidents which adversely affect the stability of the Oracle EBS application computing environment.
6)      Responsible for  identifying  and solving complex problems proactively and lead effective solutions implementation
7)      Developing and executing against capacity management plans;
8)      Developing and managing performance management plans to include leading a matrix managed performance team
9)      developing and documenting repeatable operational procedures;

10)    developing and implementing automated cloning procedures
11)    Planning and executing routine maintenance windows while minimizing risk and application downtime.
12)   develop and manage automated load testing routines and procedures
13)   Perform system maintenance and cloning activities;
14)   Working with business/system analysts and business partners, develops functional test cases/ scripts based on the system functionality and relevant business processes.
15)   Understands system performance requirements and develops load, stress and performance testing plans.
16)   Develop and implement DR/Reporting EBS Instance
 
Required Skills/Competencies to perform the job successfully:
 
    •    Passion and drive for operational excellence.
    •    Experience Monitoring, measuring, and continually improving on application infrastructure availability and standards.
    •    Experience in performance and load testing in an Oracle EBS environment
    •    Strong Oracle applications and SQL tuning experience
    •    Strong experience with Oracle RAC
    •    Strong Project Management skills
    •    Strong understanding of Oracle statistics as it relates to the Cost Based Optimizer
 
Education/Experience:
 
·         Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or related field or equivalent professional experience.
·         10 years experience with Oracle E-Business Suite
·         10 years experience with capacity planning and performance tuning
·         10 years experience in installing and managing the Oracle RDBMS environment including RAC environments.
·         10 Years experience with Oracle Application Server
·         5 years experience implementing Data guard
·         5 years experience with RMAN
·         5 Years experience with Oracle Grid / OEM
·         5 years experience using the UNIX Operation system. AIX and RHEL preferred
·         5 years experience in automated load testing (EBS environment preferred)
 
Working Environment:
 
·         Fast-paced environment
·         Night and weekend work will be required
·         On Call responsibilities are required
