TITLE:                    Windows Admin and Application Support Engineer

LOCATION:         Bay Area, CA

 

- Act as a point of contact for Level 2 support and Application admin.

- Own and maintain.Net based application

- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.

- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.

- Co-ordinate with vendor, development team, APS and PatMS admin.

- Seamless interaction with Bizz, SSG and support teams

- Strong knowledge base of Windows, Linux and AIX systems

- Contribute in issue reproduction and issue classification (defect/enhancement)

- Resolve defects/issues reg components developed by inhouse dev team.

- Plan and manage defect releases and push fixes/patches into the production.

- Identify solutions to work around open issues / problems that are under investigation or pending resolution

- Preeminent communication and customer facing skills

- Display willingness to make decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; include appropriate people in the decision-making process; make timely decisions

- Must be flexible and willing to work beyond normal business hours in an onsite-offshore model
