Job Description:
3-5 years of experience in Automated QA
Strong development background in Java or .NET
Expert skill level in object oriented development
Degree preferably in computer science or related field
Some type of programming background (python, java, .net or others)
Mid level knowledge of SQL - need to be able to write queries
Experience testing over multiple frameworks (functional testing, load testing, regression testing, etc.)
Proficient experience working with XML
Plusses
Worked with Selenium or QTP
Worked in large enterprise environment
Experience testing a financial application
Worked with Loadrunner
Day-to-Day
The development tester will be responsible for testing financial applications.
They will be doing 70% automated testing using tools such as QTP and Selenium and 30% manual testing.
For the manual testing they will be writing their own scripts (utilizing Java, C#, C++, etc.) that they will run against the code to determine any bugs/findings.
Additional job duties include reviewing requirements, managing datasets, compiling test plans, and analyzing and putting together metric reports.
