The successful candidate will implement, and support managed file transfer solutions using products such as Synchrony Gateway Interchange and Connect Direct (NDM) on UNIX, Linux, and Wintel platforms. The position is technical and "hands on". The candidate will need to coordinate and communicate with network and application engineers to design solutions. The position also requires the candidate to be on pager duty as per a published schedule.
Responsibilities:
Consult with internal technology teams toØ configure and maintain Synchrony and Connect Direct (NDM) file transfer solutions. Collaborate with these groups when necessary to troubleshoot issues.
Coordinate with external partners to establish B2B file transferØ solutions. External partners consist of major financial institutions, lenders, vendors, credit bureaus, etc.
Documentation of requirements, connection configurations, test plans, etc.
Provide on-call operational support (via pager). Analyze and provide problem resolution for complex technical issues. Identify potential improvements to increase the reliability, availability, supportability, and performance of the file transfer infrastructure.
Provide technical support to junior team members.
Must-Have:
B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience required
5+ years of technical experience in maintaining and administering large data exchange systems
Strong written, verbal, analytical and organizational skills
UNIX skillsØ (working with different shells, maintaining and creating scripts)
Experience with file transfer security and protocols such as AS2 and SFTP.
Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple teams across concurrent project tasks
Nice to Have Skills:
Working experience with Connect: Direct (Unix and/or IBM Mainframe) or Synchrony Gateway Interchange (aka Cyclone Interchange)
Good troubleshooting experience with proxy servers, webØ servers, load balancers, firewalls and other DMZ components
