Position: ETL Team Lead

Location: Jersey City

Duration: 6 months

Rate: Open

 

A top investment bank in Jersey City is looking for a ETL Team Lead to join their team in Jersey City.
Financial experience is a must for this role.  The candidate should come from an I.B. background specifically, Equities, Credit, or Futures.

Any experience in managing an offshore team is a plus.
Very Strong Informatica skills are essential for this role.

This will be a 6 month contract that has the opportunity to be constantly extended.

The rate will be based on experience.

Main Duties    
1. Develop ETL Informatica programs to transform and load data into our Oracle Data warehouse
2. Understanding of messaging and ability to integrate real-time messages into ETL feeds
3. Working with Data Architect and Data Modeler to transform and load data into our data warehouse.    

Person Requirements    
Basic Qualifications
· Advanced Computer Science or MIS Degree
· 3+ years of development manager experience in a multi location environment
· 7 + years hands-on ETL Informatica Experience
· Experience establishing an ETL framework
· Strong experience in parsing fixed length reports using Kshell or ETL tools.
· Experience in dealing with real time data sources
· 5+ years of data warehouse experience.
· 5+ years of experience with Oracle Data base and ETL loading
· Strong knowledge of Informatica ETL Tool sets.
· Deep knowledge of proper metadata and data integration processes
· Strong knowledge of database design and Oracle Database
Preferred Qualifications
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· The candidate must be self-motivated, confident and mature. Must have strong analytical problem solving skills with the aptitude to learn as well as flexibility to adapt to change.

· Understands and demonstrates best practices across all control process/procedures within Financial Services IT.
· Strong knowledge of Equities, Credit and Futures products and associated operations processes
· Experience managing an off-shore team a plus
