REQ DETAILS:

 

Location: Houston, TX

 

Duration: 12+ Months

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Four year college degree in Computer Science, Information technology or a related discipline

3-5 years of development experience with vb.net and C#. Must have hands on experience with .net full life cycle projects

Solid understanding of the .net framework and object oriented concepts with experience in using design patterns, distributed paradigms, modeling techniques and UML

Experience designing and developing core architectural components such as security models, exception handling, master pages, helper classes, etc.

3+ years of SQL experience and versed in SQL concepts such as triggers, indexes, and stored procedures

Advanced MS Excel, including pass-through queries, pivots, v-lookups, and VBA

Ability to interpret and translate business requirement into technical and/or functional documentation

Experience with XML use and manipulation of XML documents to retrieve/update XML data

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work well within a team environment

Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week

 

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

Visual Studio 2008/2010/2012

Strong VB.net and SQL development

Some C# experience required

Some XML experience required

 

PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

ADO.NET Entity Framework, JavaScript/jQuery, Visual Studio Team Foundation System (TFS), Retail Energy Experience, N Unit testing, AJAX, SAP, Middleware

 

ABILITIES REQUIRED

Ability to meet highest attendance requirements

Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently     

Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc

Could involve some lifting up to 20 pounds

Ability to sit for extended periods of time without much movement

Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines

Ability to communicate effectively via email, documentation, and face to face
